About PEC Chandigarh
PEC Chandigarh Admission: From January 24 to February 1, 2024, the JEE Main 2024 session 1 exam will be conducted by the NTA. Session 2 will be conducted from April 1 to 15, 2024. Registrations for sessions 1 and 2 are expected to begin in November 2023 and March 2024 respectively.
For M.Tech admissions to the institute, the GATE exam is accepted. The registrations for GATE 2024 started on August 30, 2023, through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). The application forms will be available till September 29, 2023, without a late fee, and till October 13, 2023, with a late fee. Moreover, for PEC Chandigarh MTech admission, the GATE exam dates are February 3, 4, 10, and, 11, 2024.
The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. The PEC Chandigarh courses include eight B.Tech programmes and 14 M.Tech programmes. The PhD course is offered in engineering, science, management, humanities and social sciences. The institute offers scholarships as well for students belonging to a financially weaker background. The PEC Chandigarh fees are moderate starting from Rs 71,000 per year. This will vary depending on the degree level and duration of the course opted for. The PEC Chandigarh course admissions are both based on merit and valid entrance exam scores. For B.Tech, JEE Main scores are considered, whereas, for M.Tech, GATE scores are considered.

It became Deemed University in 2003 through MHRD. And later, being renamed PEC University of Technology in 2009. The Punjab Engineering College admissions are done based on the candidate's marks obtained in their previous qualifying examinations, along with valid entrance exam scores. PEC Chandigarh Application Process
For admission to Punjab Engineering College, candidates have to complete the application process online. The application process is simple and can be done from the comfort of one's home. The application process for each course is different. For B.Tech application has to be done from the JEE Main website, similarly, the M.Tech application has to be done from the GATE website.
The following are the basic steps for the PEC Chandigarh admission procedure:
- Candidates have to visit the official website of JEE Main or GATE.
- They have to then register themselves by putting their name, email ID and mobile number.
- A system-generated login ID will be sent to the candidate’s mobile number.
- Use it to log in again and fill out the application form.
- Upload your scanned picture and signature.
- Make the payment of the application fee via credit/ debit card, net banking, UPI, etc.
- Take a printout for further reference.

The PEC Chandigarh application fee is different for different courses. The application fee for B.Tech courses is Rs 650 (Rs 325 - reserved categories) and for M.Tech it is Rs 1,500 (Rs 750 - women and reserved categories). The application fees have to be paid online through debit/ credit card, net banking, UPI or Paytm.

PEC Chandigarh placements are conducted through a dedicated placement cell called the Career Development and Guidance Centre. The PEC University of Technology campus spreads across an area of 149 acres of land. The campus is filled with greenery and has a clean environment.
